Conservatives 2021 Conference: little financial commitment to intervention, prevention and the support of community-based specialist services

As the Conservatives 2021 Conference closes in Manchester with promises to end VAWG by increasing the powers of a failing criminal justice system, level up regions that have been generationally been side-line and boost an ‘eco-conscious’ economy reliant on fossil fuels and cheap labour, Imkaan are asking key questions about their real commitment to ending VAWG. There has been little financial commitment to intervention, prevention and the support of community-based specialist services which is the only real way to tackle the epidemic of VAWG and murder of women.
