Our Campaign against the Police Crime Sentencing and Courts Bill

We continue to campaign against the Police Crime Sentencing and Courts Bill which puts the lives of Black and minoritised women and girls at further risk. This Act will not prevent an increase in murder and abuse of women and girls or racialised police responses to VAWG. Legislation that increases patriarchal authority/police powers will exacerbate the violence. Sarah Everards murder is being used to justify a dangerous increase in police powers, ‘safer streets’ and a failing criminal justice system rather than intervention, prevention and specialist services.
